1.This being your first lp, how did you come up with the name and what were the difficulties encountered in the process of its creation?

Hmmm difficulties; not too many really.. Innuendo (the track) was a tough one to get sounding right,!. Its one of the oldest tunes on the album and with it being the title and intro track I really wanted it to set the scene for the entire album so there were afew changes made along the way with that one.

I called the album Innuendo because it means to suggest; and to me music represents suggestion in the sense that it's not necessarily a directive of emotion; more the suggestion of it; i.e. everyone interprets it differently.. I like the way it sounds to ;)

2.On saturday the 7th of November and Monday the 9th you'll have played in Athens and Salonika, respectably. What do you know about these cities, Greece and what would you like to see during your stay here?

To be honest I don't really know a lot about Thessaloniki, which is a good thing. I love going to completely new places and discovering places I never thought I'd ever go to.

Athens on the other hand is somewhere I've always wanted to go and heard a lot about. I did a little bit of Classical Studies (Greek & Roman) in high school, most of which I completely forgot haha , but yeh places like the Parthenon (I hear the new museum there is incredible), I guess to you guys it's quite a tourist thing but to foreigners I guess its something very symbolic of the old world and a connection to it, especially for somewhere like New Zealand which only really has 200 years history.

3.Whats your view on internet radio stations that promote drum'n'bass and underground dance music and do you think this route has helped the ever-promising NZ dnb scene?

Oh absolutely, it gives people like us in New Zealand access to the rest of the world. Things like the Next Level shows with Presha and State of Mind were a great help at getting my music heard around the world.

Also with drum'n'bass not being highly playlisted on "normal" radio stations it can be hard for people to be able to catch the latest and greatest in the world of drum'n'bass, so I think internet radio is essential for growing the scene globally.

4.Tell us, what can we expect to hear in your set while you 're in europe?

Something musical, diverse, wedged between the dancefloor and musicality as well as a couple of little surprises along the way. A lot of stuff from New Zealand producers, some new things from myself and producers that I really like at the moment ;)

5.Whats do you believe is the reason behind the success of the new zealand scene with all its counterparts (established and upcoming producers, promoters, djs, venues)

I think the fact that NZ is so far away from places that DnB is traditionally been huge works in our favour, these days with the internet and such a global circuit, isolation isn't really a factor.

There is a lot of unity here which is a definite advantage in the sense that it nurtures the success of a lot of NZ producers and DJ's and I think visiting DJ's pick up on that quite often and that initially helped get the music of NZ producers heard quite sometime ago and started the momentum from there.

6.What is most beautifull location you have visited on tour so far, what inpartucular made it special?

Switzerland first comes to mind. I think initially it reminded me of the New Zealand. Slovenia was another very picturesque country. I'm currently in Italy and its another really beautiful place with a lot of history.

7.What cought your interest in drum 'n' bass and what kind of music did you grow up with?

I've been involved in music (writing, bands, jamming etc) since I was 12 so over time it just kinda evolved. I started toying with electronic music with the intent of incorporating it into a live hybrid sound but as I got deeper into it I found myself getting drawn further into it. I grew up on stuff like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Duran Duran even, then got into more guitar oriented music like Guns'n'Roses, Metallica Faith No More, Alice n Chains, NiN, Deftones! I could actually go on forever haha..

A lot of my friends are/were Techno DJ?s so I was always exposed to that side of things but the more I heard Drum'n'Bass, the more I gravitated towards it. I think for me coming from a Rock/Metal background.. the energy and vibe of the music grabbed me initially; things like Wormhole (Ed Rush & Optical), Newforms (Roni Size & Reprezent), Photek etc really clicked with me.

8.What film you like to have been a part of ? :P

V is for Vendetta ! absolutely love the sentiment of that film! and of course 300!. I would have to spend A LOT of time in the gym for that one though :P

9.What other producers do you like at the moment? Any favourite tunes?

Obviously the New Zealand guys are always pumping out great tunes that really click with me; State of Mind, Dose, Cern, The Upbeats... also guys like Chris SU, Subwave, Mutated Forms, Fourward, Illskillz, Logistics. Absolutely loving some of the tunes around from these guys at the moment.
